Opportunities in the naturally picturesque and unique environment.
The nature surrounding Hotel Vuontispirtti is unique and its true beauty firmly embraces even the most experienced of travellers. The sandy bottomed Lake Vuontisjärvi at the rear of the hotel offers a great catch for fishermen – summer and winter. Fishing permits can be purchased locally, ask from the hotel. You may like to experience Lake Vuontisjärvi with a rowing boat, guaranteeing true relaxation in Lapland’s most handsome natural setting.
More fishing opportunities are provided by the great Ounasjoki River at a distance of only a couple of kilometres from the hotel. The River Ounasjoki, flowing a distance of 360 kilometres, is the largest river within the Finnish borders that has not been harnessed for hydropower. Fishermen’s catches are most often caught by grayling and trout. Ounasjoki is also a fantastic destination for canoeing enthusiasts, and its various classes of rapid water sections provide challenges for many. Lue lisää Ounasjoesta here>> .
